
Sabyasachi, the luxury brand known for its apparel, has revealed its 2024 bridal couture collection exclusively on Instagram. Sabyasachi declared on Instagram, “We have started a new line of heritage bridal ensembles for our South Asian clientele globally, marking 25 years in the industry.”
The debut comprised a series of reels displaying models from varied backgrounds wearing classic desi occasion wear in natural settings. Motivated by J G Ballard’s ‘The Garden of Time,’ the collection commemorates Indian couture bridal with a new, broad perspective, emphasising textiles, craftsmanship, and design as exciting elements of cultural relevance.
In recent years, Sabyasachi has grown its presence in the international fashion market, starting its first international store in New York in October 2022 and hosting numerous pop-ups in the US showcasing their ‘High Jewellery’ line. They have also presented their jewellery in Dubai and collaborated with global brands like Disney and Morgenthal Frederics.
This year, Sabyasachi launched an exclusive fine jewellery collection at Bergdorf Goodman, started a lipstick range with Estée Lauder, inaugurated a pop-up at Saks Fifth Avenue, and partnered with Nilaya on a home textiles line. These initiatives highlight their evolving global strategy, initiating a rebranding of their campaign to replicate their universal approach to legacy fashion.
