For the very first time, Saint Laurent is creating an exclusive capsule collection for Net-a-porter and Mr Porter, which will be launched on both the platforms simultaneously on May 13.
Featuring both menswear and womenswear items, the collection encapsulates a range of ready-to-wear, shoes and bags.
With 21 ready-to-wear and eight non-apparel items, the women’s collection features 29 items retailed at prices ranging from US $ 275 for a music note cardholder to US $ 6,500 for a sequined mini-dress. Leather jackets, jeans, denim jackets, tops, pea coats, dresses, handbags, backpacks, shoes and sneakers are a few other additions to the capsule.
On the other hand, the Mr Porter counterpart will feature 14 pieces of RTW with an addition of two accessories and a pair of shoes, priced from US $ 275 to US $ 4,990.
A heritage music note print is a common design feature throughout both the collections, placed on the clothing styles depicting the Sixties through the Nineties.
“We spotted the trend of genderless dressing emerging over the past few seasons, and never has this idea felt more relevant,” said Elizabeth von der Goltz, Global Buying Director, Net-a-porter. “We see Saint Laurent as the genesis of this movement, and the perfect partner for our joint exclusive capsule celebrating androgynous dressing at Net-a-porter and Mr Porter.”
