After YG Entertainment’s contract renewal with the female K-pop band BLACKPINK, individual pursuits have taken centre stage. Jennie, the band member, disclosed the launch of her new fashion label and company named OA. Alongside her music career, she stepped into acting with a role in HBO’s “The Idol” and has participated in various fashion campaigns, following in the footsteps of her bandmates.
Expressing gratitude on her Instagram Story, Jennie conveyed her appreciation for the support received throughout the year and shared her excitement about embarking on her solo journey in 2024 through OA. She urged fans to extend their support to both her new venture and BLACKPINK.
OA, which stands for ODD ATELIER, was established in November 2023 and already boasts its own Instagram presence. The label aims to innovate in ways that diverge from conventional expectations, as indicated by their posts showcasing black hoodies adorned with the brand’s logo.
K-pop stars have notably made significant strides in the fashion industry. Jennie’s recent appearances at the September Chanel show in South Korea and collaborations with brands like Calvin Klein underscore this trend, solidifying their influence beyond the realm of music.
