Coming all the way from Canada for a visit to the GTE, Suresh Dureja, Director of Manufacturing, Roots Canada Ltd., Toronto (Canada) is not too much happy with the machines or overall technology displayed in the GTE. In discussion with Apparel Resources, he says rather disappointingly, “I was expecting more number of technology suppliers and the specialization machines for seam sealing. I have not seen any good machines for saddle stitch here. The exhibition should have companies that offer advance machines.” Roots Canada Ltd. is manufacturing leather jackets, bags and luggage. It has 200 high-tech stitching machines. Its apparel division source apparels from China.
