Karnataka-based unit of The Textile Association of India will organize its 13th International Conference on January 22nd and 23rd, 2016 in Bangalore focusing on “Functional Textiles and Apparels: Global Requirement and Opportunities.”
The Conference will bring together apparel and textile entrepreneurs and officials. Dr. HL Vijaya Kumar, Organising Chairman of Conference & Principal of Army Institute of Fashion and Design, Bangalore informed that major areas of interest in the Conference includes prospects of various technical textiles and smart apparels in India, nonwoven industry trends, sustainability of functional textiles & apparels, future prospects of functional textiles and apparels, water-sensitive shape memory polymers and fibres, etc. Various experts from different fields of Indian textile industry will discuss on these topics along with current and future trends, and economic outlook to enlighten the Indian textile and apparel industry.

Kumar also said that the Conference of The Textile Association of India will provide an ideal opportunity to do business and focus on current industry issues. With the theme of ‘Shaping the Future’, emphasis will be on a shared vision for the further growth of Indian textile and apparel industry, where every stake holder of supply chain will be benefitted. Companies can displayed their products also at the Conference.
The Textile Association of India is a 75-year-old body with almost 23,000 members from textile, apparel and fashion industry across India and abroad.
