The Texprocess Innovation Award, honouring outstanding achievements and new developments along the Texprocess product chain since 2011, were presented to the deserving technology exhibitors during the ongoing 2017 edition of the international trade show in Frankfurt, Germany.
The awards are given in two categories – ‘new technology’ and ‘new process’ category. The winning products are selected on the basis of criteria such as innovativeness, choice of materials and ecological.
Coloreel, a Sweden-based company, was able to convince the jury members with a technology that enables the white basic thread to be dyed during the embroidery process that is, Embroline, which results in unique and colourful patterns, to bag the award. Another winner in ‘new technology’ category was DDL-9000C, Juki’s offering that allows inter alia, thread tension and stitch length to be adjusted and stored via a touchscreen on the machine or via a special app.

Industrial-sewing machine specialist Xi’an Typical Europe also bagged an award for Vetron Trace, a new technology that permits pedal-less sewing. Sensors on the machine track hand movements and pass on the information to the machine in real-time.
Coming to the ‘new process’ category, Duerkopp Adler, the sewing technology giant won the award for an online monitoring system for industrial production which checks parameters like productivity and the status of up to 1,500 sewing machines in a network in real-time.
