Virtual fashion shows seemed like a thing of the future until the coronavirus pandemic wreaked havoc in our lives, especially in the field of fashion.
As many brands resort to audience-less, streamed shows, Singapore is planning to play host to a 10-day-long virtual fashion festival, ‘The Front Row’.
The fashion event, organised by Daniel Boey Creatives and AP Media, and supported by Enterprise Singapore, is a free-to-view virtual showcasing of a plethora of regional labels.
So, what ‘The Front Row’ offering?
It’s all set to feature presentations from 25 homegrown designer brands like Ginlee Studio, Elohim by Sabrina Goh, Graye and Holtan Vibes, which will introduce their latest collections through a combination of videos, workshops, interactive panels and talks.
Slated to take place from 20 to 29 August, the virtual event can be accessed on the website for The Front Row.
Apart from providing viewers the ease of accessing the show on their home devices, The Front Row will also feature an online platform called Virtual Fashion Village for them to purchase any items they like.
Speaking about the event, Daniel Boey, Creative Director, The Front Row, said “We hope The Front Row’s innovative and entertaining platform can help to further enhance the digital presence of our local fashion, especially those making inroads to the industry.”
