President Mohammed Shahabuddin urged entrepreneurs, financiers, and textile engineers to concentrate on enhancing the appeal and recognition of Bangladeshi textile goods on the international market on Tuesday.
During a courtesy call at Bangabhaban, the president delivered these words to a delegation from Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX).
Following the discussion with the group, Joynal Abedin, the president’s press secretary, gave the media a briefing.
The president was updated by Professor Shah Alimuzzaman, the vice-chancellor of Butex, on the academic activities of the institution.
As stated by Shahabuddin, the textile industry is one of Bangladesh’s key economic sectors and, at present, generates the most foreign cash.
According to him, textile engineers play a critical role in the modernization and diversification of textile goods.
The president pushed the administration of the university to make the best use of information technology and carry out academic operations following international standards.
