The Industrial Fabric Association International (IFAI) announces that the registration is open for the upcoming Smart Fabrics Virtual Summit 2020 to be held on 16 and 17 April.
The digital summit also has Government support as US Department of Commerce’s Office of Textile and Apparel (OTEXA) is also a co-host.
The event with theme ‘Ideation to Commercialization’ focuses on introducing smart products to the market. It will also serve as a platform for opportunities, innovations and developments in the field of smart fabric industry.
Besides, it will also have sessions that will share valuable information on the industry. Participants will also share the recent developments in smart fabric industry along with opportunities for collaboration and networking.
Nazak Nikakhtar, Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Industry and Analysis, said “Smart fabrics have changed the state of play, not only in the textiles industry, but also in the areas of sports and fitness, transportation, healthcare, and defence.”
Nazak further said US firms are developing innovative new products and manufacturing strategies that will revolutionise the way we communicate, better protect our soldiers and deliver needed medications more safely and efficiently.”
