The much-awaited February 2021 physical edition of British trade fair Moda has been cancelled!
While announcing the same, Hyve Group said that the event will now be held digitally owing to the ongoing pandemic menace.
The event was originally planned to be held in September 2020, but – thanks to COVID-19 – it was pushed back to February 2021 to be held alongside Hyve’s retail show Spring Fair.
However, witnessing the current situation of the pandemic, the company announced that it will no longer go ahead due to fresh lockdown and subsequent restrictions.
The virtual forum will take place on 23 February 2021, and will be open to both brands and buyers. It intends to allow fashion professionals to do business despite all pandemic-induced travel restrictions.
“Whilst we had been looking forward to welcoming our exhibitors and visitors back to the halls of the NEC Birmingham in February, we must comply with the Government restrictions, putting the safety and comfort of our community first,” said Hyve Group’s MD for UK Retail, Julie Driscoll.
