Md. Shamsuzzaman, CIP, Managing Director of Micro Fibre Group, has handed over an installment check for a 10-katha plot allocated by RAJUK to the Institution of Textile Engineers and Technologists (ITET). The payment was made to ITET Convener Ehsanul Karim Kaiser during the organisation’s Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM).
ITET, founded in 1983, is a professional organisation dedicated to advancing Bangladesh’s textile sector by supporting engineers and technologists through various initiatives. The land, allocated by the 14th Council, is intended for ITET’s institutional expansion, facilitating research, training, and professional development for the textile community.
RAJUK (Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha), the Capital Development Authority of Bangladesh, is responsible for urban planning and land allocation in Dhaka. Securing this plot marks a significant milestone for ITET, reinforcing its commitment to the textile sector.
During the EGM, ITET leaders emphasised key priorities, including finalising the land payment, compiling a member directory, and organising timely elections. Ehsanul Karim Kaiser acknowledged the challenges in securing the plot and commended Shamsuzzaman for his crucial financial support, which significantly eased the process.
With this contribution, ITET moves closer to enhancing its role in the textile industry, ensuring continued support for professionals in the field.
