The Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) hosted the A. Matin Chowdhury Award Ceremony, celebrating excellence in the textile industry. Sponsored by LMW Global FZE, the event honored the significant contributions of Matin Chowdhury to the growth of Bangladesh’s textile sector.

Chowdhury discussed the evolution of the textile industry and the importance of embracing man-made fibers for future competitiveness and environmental responsibility. Shawkat Aziz Russel, President of BTMA, emphasised the urgent need for skilled manpower and proposed the establishment of a dedicated department for man-made fibres at AUST.
