Lectra, the technological partner for apparel and leather companies, had recently organized a ‘Technology Day’ in New Delhi (India). The event was held to throw light upon adopting digitalization in manufacturing companies as Industry 4.0 ready strategy.
The event ‘Fashion Meets Industry 4.0 – North Chapter’ witnessed the presence of 20 manufacturers, exporters and brands from New Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida and Faridabad regions.
With times changing by, the apparel making and consumption process has changed. Along comes different challenges like fit, timely delivery, fabrics management, etc. Manufacturers need to address these challenges to better their productivity and efficiency. Rajeev Sharma, Solutions Consultant, Lectra India, specifically focused on ‘Connected Development’ which allows companies to involve team members and work with them on a common platform, sharing data in real-time for specific styles, products and collections.
Technology adoption has allowed companies to achieve greater levels of efficiency and full supply chain transparency. India has also started adopting innovative technologies to improve process visibility, operational efficiency and produce large quantities.
