In view of a very positive feedback received from ITMA 2015 exhibitors and visitors, CEMATEX, the European Committee of Textile Machinery Manufacturers has announced to hold the 19th edition of ITMA, touted to be the world’s biggest textile and garment technology exhibition, in Italy in 2023.
The week-long event will kick-off from June 8-14 at the Fiera Milano Rho exhibition centre. Interestingly, ITMA 2015 was held at the same location. Excellent infrastructure, exceptional hospitality and air connections to all parts of the world were other factors that were vital in choosing the location for the event. Additionally, Italy is known for housing a large textile machinery and apparel making industry.
“We are glad to know that Milan has once again been chosen as a venue to host ITMA. No stone will be left unturned to ensure success of the event,” stated Alessandro Zucchi, president of ACIMIT, the association of Italian textile machinery manufacturers. Milan was among nine venues shortlisted for the event. “It is a proud moment for us to get a chance to host the event once again,” Fabrizio Curci, chief executive officer of Fiera Milano chimed in.
The 18th edition of the event, themed as ‘Innovating the World of Textiles’, to be held in Barcelona in June 2019 is already witnessing an overwhelming interest of the exhibitors who are keen to present innovations on this global platform.
The exhibition, which has been happening every four years since 1951, represents the entire textile and garment value chain. As the most-organised industry exposition, ITMA’s owner, CEMATEX frequently evaluates its directory of products to ensure its significance and to enhance the visitors’ experience.
