
Heimtextil Russia 2016, an international trade fair for home textiles, floor coverings and interior furnishings, held last month, witnessed 17,656 buyers as against 16,349 visiting the show, which hosted 229 exhibitors from 18 countries, namely Germany, China, Egypt, Pakistan, Turkey, Austria, Bulgaria, Finland, Georgia, India, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Netherlands, Portugal, Tunisia, and Vietnam show latest collections for home textiles, floor coverings and interior furnishings.
In contract textiles, the emphasis was on products such as kitchen textiles, table decoration, curtains, wallpaper, wall coverings, carpets, and furniture upholstery used in restaurants, bars, cafes, and night clubs.

This time, several B2B programmes were also conducted during the trade fair days, where visitors had a chance to meet with company representatives.
Organized by Messe Frankfurt, another highlight of the home textiles show was the ‘Match Making’ online platform provided on the official Heimtextil Russia website, which allowed the visitors to plan and schedule meetings with exhibitors they were interested in meeting during the show. Also at the event, a special project ‘Heimtextil Russia Online Mania’ featured representatives of leading Russian portals in interior design and online stores retailing home and interior textiles.
