Epson, the world leader of digital printing solutions, is demonstrating its latest technological textile printer ‘Monna Lisa’ at the ongoing 2017 edition of Heimtextil, the biggest international trade fair for home and contract textiles, in Frankfurt, Germany.
The company’s Monna Lisa T16 model, with piezoelectric inkjet Epson technology, is specialized to conduct the whole production run from pre-treatment to the final outcome that is printing. Its key feature is to print on the fabrics having different physical characteristics. To achieve desired results, Genesta pigment ink is used which is being designed by Epson in partnership with For.Tex. The ink does not require steaming and washing processes. The process is eco-friendly and meets the industry’s increasing focus on sustainable production techniques.

Giovanni Pizzamiglio, Head of Sales and Board Member, Fratelli Robustelli, the company which produced Monna Lisa printer first in the year 2003, said, “Monna Lisa is a viable alternative for the textile market due to several key characteristics including reducing production time, ability to print on any type of fabric or using any design variant. At the event, Epson’s remarkable evolutions (initiative termed as Design For Living) are also up on display to illustrate significant and creative business opportunities with digital printing solutions. In addition, the company is presenting its direct-to-fabric and dye-sublimation printer – Epson SureColor at the 4 days long fair.
