Reckoned as Hong Kong’s biggest fashion sourcing event, Global Sources Fashion (GSF) which unfolded on 27 April 2018 has entered its final day today.
Currently, underway at Asia World-Expo, the 4-day trade show is being organised by Global Sources, a B2B media firm and a chief facilitator of trade with Greater China, and it presents sourcing opportunities in fabrics, apparel and fashion accessories all under a single roof.
Markedly, GSF brings together verified suppliers from key fashion manufacturing hubs of Asia, including mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
The event hosts Asia’s largest scarves pavilion beside devoted national and regional exhibition areas, exhibiting quality fashion products from countries and regions like Vietnam, India, Jiangsu, Hunan Shaodong and Xiamen. Also, it puts up the largest range of bags and luggage, footwear and sports fashion in Hong Kong.
“In addition to showcasing a wide range of products and suppliers from across Asia, we are seeing growing participation from branded companies, stated Global Sources Fashion Group President Livia Yip.
The event is drawing participation from around 500 exhibitors promoting their own designs and brands. Amazon and other online sellers will find a variety of products with more than 65 per cent of exhibitors able to accept small orders, Yip further added.
Significantly, besides accessing exhibitors that accept small order orders, the online sellers also glean learnings from Online Retail 101 conference on e-commerce strategy and marketing techniques and the fashion parade on what’s trending on Amazon.
What’s more, a series of other special exhibits and sub-events, as well, mark the GSF.
While talented designers from prestigious fashion schools in Hong Kong showcase their concepts at Young Designers Corner, the fashion startups and budding designers get to launch their creations at Rising Designers Corner.
Aside the Fashion Parades with models displaying designs from exhibitors/emerging designers besides Analyst’s Choice and Amazon best-selling products live on the runway, Trend Forums feature colour trends for S/S 2019 by Pantone besides accessories and Apparel trend forecasts for F/W 2018/19 by Fashion Snoops.
Also, Fashion Tech Zone exhibits smart, eco-friendly and innovative designs and includes product demos by selected exhibitors, while the New Sourcing Markets Pavilion, showcases 100 plus distinct products from emerging markets like Vietnam, Indonesia, India, Philippines, Laos and Cambodia.
Moreover, the event, as well, features various seminars on fashion trends, new fashion technology applications like AI, 3D printing, as well as sourcing tips.
Notably, the top buyers participating in GSF comprise Adidas, Avery Dennison, AYE AYE, Colette, eBay, Fossil, Gap, Marubeni, Mothercare, Potpourri, Ralph Lauren, S. Oliver, Scarf Home, Sears, Target Australia, Tiffany, UCB and Vivarte.
