The BGMEA Cup is set to kick-off on Thursday (March 17) at the International Turkish Hope School in Uttara in Bangladesh. The games will be played on Friday and Saturday.
Organised by Bangladesh Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), the event will see 12 teams, split into two groups, competing in 30-minute matches of the week-end tournament. Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed will be the chief guest at the cup final on April 1.
This was revealed during a press conference, chaired by BGMEA President M Siddiqur Rahman, at the Apparel Club of BGMEA Bhaban in Dhaka on Monday.
BGMEA Vice-President (Finance) Mohammad Nasir, BGMEA Vice-President Ferdous Pervez Bivan and Managing Director of Leo Entertainment Rezaur Rahman Rohan were present on the occasion.
At the tournament, only permanent officials of executive level will be entitled to play. Five to six matches will be held everyday in the afternoon and evening.
