Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), Ministry of Textiles and Bureau of India Standards (BIS) are set to organise the 3rd National Conclave on Standards on Technical Textiles.
The event will be held in the capital New Delhi from November 2-3 at FICCI Federation House.
The standards which need to be formulated by BIS for promoting technical textiles and safeguarding and ensuring the health, hygiene and environmental concerns will be discussed during the event.
Sessions on standards for technical textiles required for defence and security, workplace safety, health and hygiene, increasing agricultural productivity and Geotech and composites applications will also be held.
The inaugural session of the conference will be addressed by Anant Kumar Singh, Secretary, Ministry of Textiles and Surina Rajan, Director General, Bureau of Indian Standards.
Other keynote speakers from Army, Navy and other Government organisations will also be present at the event.
The latest developments taking place in the technical textile industry will also be discussed during the 3rd National Conclave on Standards on Technical Textiles.
