Electronic for Imaging (EFI) is displaying its range of EFI Reggiani scanning digital printing solutions for direct-to-textile production and denim dyeing technology at the ongoing ShanghaiTex tradeshow being held in China.
The eco-friendly direct sublimation printers include a new FUOCO acid ink range and the denim dyeing range includes a continuous indigo range, warp dyeing and denim fabric finishing solutions.
The FUOCO acid ink available in 11 colours, including 3 light colours, delivers fine grade quality of printing available on silk and polyamide fabrics.
Extra deeping chemistry, an additional enhancement solution, can be mixed with FUOCO ink to increase the penetration of ink into fibres creating fabulous double-face effect.
Another highlight is the EFI Reggiani VOGUE, direct-to-textile printing solution delivering higher quality results for the fashion and sportswear applications.
The printer deliver prints at resolutions of up to 2,400 dpi and with 16 print heads, 8 colours and 4 to 72 picolitre drop size.
The machine features an innovative re-circulation system that helps the manufacturer achieve their sustainability goals as it saves the amount of ink being used.
Moreover, the system further ensures minimum maintenance, reduces energy usage thus minimising the overall cost involved.
The printer can be run using any type of textile ink; however at the show the machine is being demonstrated using EFI Reggiani IRIS sublimation ink.
The direct sublimation process ensures superior colour brightness and eliminates the use of any transfer paper waste.
“We look forward to sharing the benefits of our green solutions, such as the TERRA printer line-up with pigment inks and direct sublimation processes, with ShanghaiTex attendees. More and more, the market is rewarding textile producers that not only deliver high efficiency, but also sustainability and a lower environmental impact.” said, Adele Genoni, Senior VP and GM, EFI Reggiani.
