CITI gets new leaders at a critical time

At a time when the textile sector is facing challenges, both at the domestic as well as the global level, the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI) gets a new chairman, Naishadh Parikh, who has played a significant role at Arvind Ltd. in its growth and expansion. Binoy Job will serve as the Secretary General, replacing D K Nair, who’s retiring after 16 years of service. Mukund Choudhary and J Thulasidharan will continue as the Deputy Chairman and Vice Chairman respectively. The new leaders were elected at the CITI board meeting held on 10th October at Mumbai.

It is a crucial year for CITI as the Confederation will be hosting two major events, the plenary meet of the International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC) in December, 2015, and the next International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF) Conference in November 2016.
