Apparel Training & Design Center (ATDC) recently organized ‘Run For Skills’ marathon in Noida to create awareness. The marathon commenced from ATDC Noida and ended at the same location, covering major parts of Noida while stopping at Metro Hospital and Nehru International Public School.
Nagendra Pratap Singh, District Magistrate, who flagged off the marathon, said, “The goal of “Skill India” is to create opportunities, space and scope for the development of talent of Indians and identify new sectors for skill development. It aims to provide training and skill development to 500 million youth by 2020, and ATDC should be well appreciated to move one step forwards towards Skill India goal.”
Over 150 enthusiastic students, volunteers and faculty members were seen running clad in t-shirts with the ATDC logo, which were sponsored by Paragon Apparel and carrying flags and banners to inform the populace of the advantages of enrolling in ATDC Skill Development courses. The main objective behind this was guiding the unemployed youth to avail this opportunity and equip themselves with the skills.
