The Incentive package allotted for garment and footwear sector, incorporated in the employment plan earlier this year by the government of the European nation, has shown positive results as the exports have increased by 25 per cent to US $ 110 million, compared to the previous year. Till date, approximately 3,000 unemployed job-seekers have been employed through Employment Promotion Fund programs. Meanwhile, US $ 5 million will soon be allocated out of Employment Promotion Fund in the light of this package.
