Zinnia India, Noida has started its printing unit in Varanasi and also added new products in its product basket. Earlier the company was making only western wear at the Noida unit, but with the Varanasi unit, ethnic ladies wear for the international market is now a growth area. Virat Kumar, Partner told Team AO that their printing unit has the capacity of printing 600 ladies suits/sarees per day, with facilities for screen, block and hand printing. These products are being exported to the UK and Dubai and some parts of USA. All products manufactured in the Varanasi unit are silk based and the company is promoting Bhagalpur and Champa hand work.
Virat had last year planned and shared his expansion plans with Apparel Online, which included adding more product categories like scaves and beachwear in its export basket for buyers in Europe, USA and South Africa. This expansion is over and are now in operations and he is expecting good growth with this latest venture.
