
Vietnam’s exports of ladies dresses to the US as well as to European Union have increased throughout this year. Ahead of positive growth in the overall apparel exports in the first half of the current year, Vietnam’s export of ladies dresses to the US increased by 1.43 per cent to US $ 416 million year-on-year during the period. Equally, after eight months of this year, the export of ladies dresses to the country has registered an increase of 1.75 per cent to US $ 515 million.
Likewise, in the first half of 2016, the exports of ladies dresses to the European Union showed a year-on-year rise of 24.17 per cent to Euro 58.74 million. In the following month, the trend remained the same as country’s exports of ladies dresses to the region showed 19.70 per cent year-on-year increase to Euro 66.11 million.

Over the years, the trend in the apparel exports of Vietnam has changed to the extent that ladies dresses stand at par with the country’s product strength such as jackets and blazers. In the first half of this year, Vietnam’s quantity of exports of ladies dresses stood at 5,889.35 billion square metres while the jackets and blazers stood at 2,502.79 billion square metres.
