Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex) recently visited Armenia to initiate business projects in the country.
The Vinatex delegation was on a look out for cooperation from apparel companies that have an extensive distribution network in Russia and other European countries to increase the country’s export.
“In addition to meeting businessmen in the capital city of Yerevan, our representatives also conducted working sessions with the Economic Development Minister of Armenia and the Deputy Foreign Minister,” reportedly said Le Tien Truong, General Director, Vinatex.
At the meeting, the Armenian Government assured Vinatex of making conditions favourable for Vietnamese investors, providing special facilities under cooperation policies, and granting of work visas.
The Armenian Government further said that it aims to associate with firms like Vinatex to boost the domestic garment industry as well. Vinatex will bring production experience to Armenia.
The media reports claim that Vinatex will initially provide machinery and production supervision to Armenian companies once deals finalise.
