Global blue denim fabric imports by the US during January-February 2017 period witnessed a marginal growth in volumes. Whereas, value-wise the country continued to show its dismal performance.
Volume-wise USA imported 47,12,870 square metres of blue denim fabrics during the review period with a rise of 0.05 per cent over the same period in last year. Value-terms however fell by 7.33 per cent to get settled at US $ 11.46 million as against US $ 12.37 million in the corresponding period in 2016.

China and Mexico were the top exporters of blue denim fabric to the US. China recorded boost in volumes while it noted decrease in values during the period. On the other hand, Mexico was down both in its value-wise and volume-wise exports to the US.
