Exploring new avenues to grow has become the growth mantra for most companies and in garmenting, in particular the market of choice today is domestic retail. Ludhiana based fabric manufacturer, supplying to both the exporters and domestic garment manufacturers, Top Trader is going in for expansion with an investment of Rs. 3.5 crore in the coming months. Gurvinder Singh, of the company told Apparel Online, “We have a good reputation in fabric manufacturing and supplying and on a smaller level garmenting too. Now we are expanding ourselves in knitted fabric and garmenting manufacturing.” In line with the plans the company will install 10 circular knitting machines and 300 stitching machines with few embroidery and printing machines also. “Our plan is to focus on knitted fabric and garments, initially the garmenting division will supply to the domestic market and later we will work on export,” he added. Having a turnover of Rs. 15 crore from the textile and garmenting section, Top Trader is expecting to achieve a turnover of around Rs. 25 crore in coming years from the same segment.
