T. Rajkumar, Chairman, Sri Mahasakthi Mills Limited, Kerala and Foundation One Infrastructures Pvt Ltd., Tamil Nadu, has been re-elected as Chairman of Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI).
CITI is one of the leading industry chambers of the Indian textile and clothing industry.
Associated with many organisations and trade bodies, T. Rajkumar is the Chairman of the Textile Sector Skill Council (TSC) and Director in National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).
Rakesh Mehra of Banswara Syntex Ltd., Mumbai has been elected as Deputy Chairman. Since 2018, he is the President of Indian Spinners Association (ISA), Mumbai –an Association of MMF Yarn Spinners of the country.
Ashwin Chandran, CMD, Precot Meridien Limited has been elected as the Vice Chairman. He held the position of the Chairman of The Southern India Mills’ Association (SIMA), Coimbatore for two years from 2019 to 2021.
CITI, representing the entire textile value chain through its leading regional & industry associations and 18 major corporate members, held its 63rd AGM.
AT AGM, T. Rajkumar said that the Indian textile and clothing industry will go a long way in achieving the ambitious target of increasing the textile business size to US$ 350 billion, including US$ 100 billion exports by 2025-26, and also the target of US$ 44 billion exports of textile products for 2021-22.
