Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), the paramilitary force responsible for the border security of the country, has reportedly imposed the highest alerts along the border areas to prevent any smuggling of rawhides.
Restrictions have been imposed on movement of vehicles carrying rawhides along the border areas, including Benapole, Putkhali, Sharsha, Kayba, Kashipur, Goga, Raghunathpur, Agrabhulot, Bara Anchra, Daulatpur, Sadipur, Gatipara and Ghiba, as per media reports.
The paramilitary force has reportedly increased its manpower deployment and stepped up vigilance along the border including at all sea and land ports and railway stations, to prevent smuggling of rawhides.
