On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, Sonamasjid Land Port will be closed to import and export traffic for eight days.
However, the Immigration Department would stay open, and passport-holding travellers could continue their journeys as usual.
Kazi Md. Shahabuddin, the president of the Sonamasjid Importer-Exporter Group, affirmed that import and export operations via the port would be suspended from 15th-20th June and will recommence on 22nd June.
The shutdown would take place on 14th and 21st June, two Fridays.
