The share price of Al-Haj Textile Mills has witnessed an unusual rise of 15 per cent in around two weeks until 7 July.
Media reports maintained this adding this rise was sans any price-sensitive information and went on to further underline on 19 June, the share price jumped to Taka 131.9 from Taka 114.9 each until the company snapped its 15-day streak of gaining.
Reports further added the share prices have since been on the downward trajectory and closed at Taka 128.7 each on 18 July (Monday), marking a 0.69 per cent decline over the previous trading session even if on 17 July, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), reportedly, sent a query to the company about the recent unusual price hikes but in its reply, the company, reportedly, added there was no undisclosed price-sensitive information for the recent unusual price hike and increase in the volume of shares in recent times.
