Out of the several projects and schemes announced by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi last year, the foundation stones have been laid for two projects in Nagaland. Santosh Gangwar, Union Minister of State for Textiles, laid the foundation stones of the Apparel & Garment Manufacturing Centre and the Weavers’ Service Centre (Toluvi Village) in presence of officials of Ministry of Textiles and ministers, legislators and officials of the State Government. Thanking the Nagaland Government for allotting the land for the centres, the minister assured that infrastructure will be completed in three months time so that they become functional by July-August. Gangwar said that the centres would provide gainful employment to 1,200 educated unemployed youth of the state.
