She added that Bangladesh would lose some facilities entitled for LDCs, but those will not be problem for the country as her Government has prepared to address the situation creating the necessary business-friendly atmosphere.

This she said while distributing national Export Trophy for the year 2015-2016 at a function held in capital Dhaka recently.

At the event, a total of 56 enterprises of 24 sectors were given the award. Out of these, 25 organizations received gold, 17 silver and 14 bronze trophies.

Hasina further maintained that her Government has initiated several steps to boost regional trade and business, including signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with India, Bhutan, and Nepal to develop a communication network besides signing another MoU with China, India, and Myanmar to develop BCIM Economic Corridor.

“So you have an immense scope to expand your businesses up to China, in addition to East Asia, South Asia, and South East Asia,” she said reportedly.
