
Odisha Government has launched a fresh initiative to improve the ease doing business in the Indian state. Under this initiative, State Level facilitation Centre have been institutionalised for guiding investors, assessing project approvals and follow up for timely approvals, establishment and operation of the units. A two-tier system will be designed – one at State level and the other at district level. The district level facilitation centres will be assisted by various industry associations. Chief Secretary Gokul Chandra Pati has directed concerned departments and agencies to depute senior officers to this initiative on full-time basis with delegation of adequate powers.
According the Odisha State Pollution Control Board (OSPCB) listing of 56 industries under the green category, apparel manufacturing has also featured, which means that after approval of the State Government clearance, NOC will not be necessary from OSPCB for setting up these industries.
