
As per the press release issued by TEA, Director of USA Sourcing at MAGIC fair Bob Berg is impressed with exports of garments from India to the USA.
During his recent visit to India, on the invitation of Tirupur Exporters’ Association, Berg said that products made in India have got huge potential in the world market and many are inclined to source their requirements from India – keeping in mind with all advantageous factors like political relationship, cultural relationship, quality manufacturing, communication angle and above all dependability and responsibility.

Berg also interacted with exporters on “How to do business with USA” and avenues thereof to develop contacts with Buyers and Brands in the world market through fair Sourcing at MAGIC to be held in Las Vegas, USA between August 14-17, 2016. TEA Chief Dr. A. Sakthivel informed that around 50 exporters participated in the interaction session and got clarification on various issues.
Berg said that Sourcing at MAGIC is North America’s largest, most comprehensive sourcing event, reflecting the fashion supply chain at its most complete. Offering unmatched access to over 35 countries representing the world’s most important markets and the Sourcing Zone is a convenient space for retail buyers, global importers, licensees and brands to meet and conduct business with offshore manufacturers like India and contract suppliers from the international manufacturing countries.

The Director (International Business) of Sourcing at MAGIC also informed that imports from India account for a good share in the American market. Besides, the given import scenario in US apparently reveals that there is a good potential available for increasing imports from India, thereby giving more avenues for Indian knitwear and apparels to US markets.
