Enhancing product portfolio is a reasonably comfortable way for growth and the same is being followed by Bangalore based Life Style Apparels as the garmenting based company recently entered into fabric trading in collaboration with a Japanese company. Exporting men’s, women and children, tops and bottoms to France, Germany, Mexico Switzerland and USA, the company has 350 stitching machines and is now offering various special finished fabrics of Kurabo Industries, Japan which is one of the biggest textile companies in Japan. “Besides exports, 30 per cent of our garmenting business is for top domestic brands and chain stores like Mufti and Reliance. We have observed that these special kinds of fabrics are not easily available in Indian market, so we are trying to fill this gap. We are already supplying these fabrics to many reputed brands and the response is very good as they are surprised to see the fabric quality,” says Murali Dhar. P, Executive Director of the company.
The special fabric on offer include real wrinkle-free fabrics (wrinkle resistant during wear and after washing) eternal veil with Kurabo technology – for top and bottom weights including wrinkle free 100 per cent cotton chino/trouser fabrics, antivirus fabrics for both top and bottom weights, anti insect and mosquito repellent, water resistant, anti fouling and fire retardant and anti electrostatic fabrics. The company is accepting minimum orders of 500 to 1000 metres also and is ensuring timely delivery within 45 days. Upbeat of the response Life Style Apparels is expecting sales of at least 2 lakh metres in this initial year. The company is also planning for exporting uniforms in coming months and sure of about 15 per cent growth.
