Bangladesh has sought GSP support from Germany to help it face the post-LDC challenges after its final graduation as a developing nation even as it (Bangladesh) also urged Germany to increase mutual understanding between the two nations pertaining to trade and business issues.
Media reports maintained this adding Bangladesh Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi sought the support from Germany in this direction recently when German Ambassador to Bangladesh Achim Tröster called upon him.
The Commerce Minister further, reportedly, asked Germany to allow access to more ‘Made in Bangladesh’ products to its market even as he underlined since Bangladesh has environment-friendly green factories and other necessary compliances are followed, the production cost of goods went up while expressing hope that Germany would extend cooperation in giving fair prices to apparel offerings from Bangladesh.
