The two-day International Investment Summit 2021 has kickstarted in Dhaka recently.
With its theme of ‘Shonar Bangla: A Land of Limitless Investment Opportunities’, the summit has been inaugurated by Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Around 2,574 participants have, reportedly, registered to attend the summit hosted by Bangladesh Investment Development Authority or BIDA in capital Dhaka, even as at least 465 foreigners representing their countries or international investment firms have also, reportedly, joined the event.
It may be mentioned here that as per reports, Bangladesh Government has set a primary target to woo investment from around 15 countries and regions, in 11 sectors including in apparel and leather even as BIDA has already identified 11 highly potential sectors for presenting before the investors.
