Delhi based Intercity Traders is also one of them and with the help of consultancy firm Methods Workshop Apparel Consultancy India, it is improving in various departments. “We have two key areas for improvements: first is better coordination among departments, which is in the process; and second is wastage control especially after the cutting, which will start soon. Consultancy firm observed our factory and figured out some particular points where we needed to improve. Already, there are some good improvements in our sampling and merchandising department as we are now using TNA, and can plan well in advance. In the same there are improvements in fabric and accessory stores. Most of the dead stock of fabric is clear and now there are proper systems in both departments. Basically we streamline the process and results are good,” informed Ashish Singhania, Director, Intercity Traders.
