The persistent issue of poor infrastructure including poor road conditions, which has long plagued Bangladesh and impacted various aspects, including transportation of export consignments like apparel items, may soon become a thing of the past.
This positive change comes after Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader recently announced that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is poised to inaugurate four significant mega projects this month.
Minister Quader revealed this information during a joint meeting of the president-general secretaries of affiliated organisations held at the central office of Bangladesh Awami League on Bangabandhu Avenue recently.
As per the minister, these four transformative projects include the inauguration of the third terminal at Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, opening of the Padma Rail Bridge, launch of the Agargaon-Motijheel segment of the Dhaka Metro Rail and the official unveiling of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Tunnel.
Obaidul Quader has confirmed that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to inaugurate these pivotal mega projects on 7th, 10th, 23rd, and 28th October respectively.
Furthermore, in addition to these developments, the Awami League is set to hold a grand rally in Savar’s Aminbazar as well.
