“With export sales of Euro 523 million, Germany is at third place amongst exporting nations worldwide, behind China and Japan. Our member companies are outstandingly well placed amongst the international competition. Above all, that is because they are continually developing and innovating. The individualization of apparel, the digitalization of the value creation chain and new technologies, such as digital printing and sustainable processing technologies, are currently at the heart of our members’ planning for innovation,” observes Elgar Straub, General Manager, VDMA Textile Care, Fabric and Leather Technologies Association.
