The M/S United Bridal Factory Limited, an entity of cent per cent German ownership, is investing around US $ 12 million to relocate one of its successful factories from Poland to Bangladesh.
According to reports, the company is relocating its unit to Adamjee Export Processing Zone in Narayanganj to manufacture high-end bridal wear.
The German enterprise signed a land lease agreement to this end in Berlin recently with the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA), which was attended by
Chairman of United Bridal Factory Limited, Bartosz Wodecki; its Managing Director Adrian Gaszaka; Ambassador of Bangladesh in Berlin, Md. Mosharraf Hossain; BEPZA Member (Investment Promotion), Md. Mahmudul Hossain Khan and other senior officials of the BEPZA.
As per media reports, United Bridal Factory Limited, apart from high-end bridal wear will also produce bridal accessories (27 different bridal items) for the burgeoning European and international markets from its Adamjee Export Processing Zone-based unit.
As the concerned authorities of the M/S United Bridal Factory Limited were unable to travel to sign the necessary paper works due the COVID-19 pandemic, the Bangladesh embassy in Berlin facilitated the signing ceremony so that the investment project can go ahead without any hindrance.
