
“Named and shamed” by UK Government for evading paying its employees the national minimum wage, UK arms of Foot Locker Inc. and French Connection Group PLC have allegedly neglected to pay US $ 18273 to 601 workers and US $ 11,007 to 367 workers. The companies were named on a list of 48 wage defaulter firms prepared by Business Minister Jo Swinson. For adults in the UK, minimum wage is approximately US $ 7an hour, but the government recently said that it will rise starting in October.
