To help boost bilateral trade between Bangladesh and India, the President of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) Md Jashim Uddin has called upon both the countries to address the non-tariff barriers even as he urged the Indian Government to remove anti-dumping duties on jute along with floating glass.
According to reports, Jashim Uddin made this call at the recently held meeting on ‘New horizons in India-Bangladesh economic relations’ organised jointly by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and the FBCCI in New Delhi.
The FBCCI President Jashim Uddin further, reportedly, called upon the leaders of both the countries to cut procedural bottlenecks, improve trade facilities in ports, upgrade testing facilities in port areas and remove logistics disruptions.
