China’s textile and apparel exports have reached US $ 272.24 billion in January to October ’22 period.
The statistics released by General Administration of Customs China (GACC) show that the country has noted 6.22 per cent growth on Y-o-Y basis as exports valued US $ 256.30 billion in the same period of the prior year.
Particularly in October ’22, the exports of textiles and apparels valued US $ 25.02 billion which is 13.62 per cent less than what the values stood (US $ 28.94 billion) during October ’21.
Of total exports, apparel constituted US $ 147.58 billion (up 6.40 per cent) in the first 10-month period, while textiles contributed US $ 125.66 billion (up 6.90 per cent).
Though the cumulative exports have grown, the decline in October month on yearly basis has created a pressure situation for the Chinese suppliers because of the irregularities in the global market for apparel and textile products.
