Looking at filling the existing funding gap, Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI), Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) and Social Accountability International (SAI) have urged Bangladeshi public and private partners to contribute to the Rana Plaza Arrangement. The tripartite initiative claims that engaging Bangladeshi partners in the Rana Plaza Arrangement will convey integrity to the discussions initiated by International Labour Organisation (ILO) for establishment of an Employment Injury Insurance in Bangladesh. Based on ILO convention 121 on employment injury benefits and a key component of the National Tripartite Plan of Action on Fire Safety, would work to ensure protection for apparel manufacturing workforce and compensation in case of an accident at work.
