Brassieres import of USA has continued its growth even in July ’20 when it surged by 35.68 per cent over June ’20 to US $ 168.65 million, according to OTEXA.
However, cumulatively in Jan.-Jul. ’20 period, the import was down 27.33 per cent to US $ 1.04 billion. All major brassieres exporters such as China, Vietnam, Sri Lanka as well as emerging exporters such as Thailand and Bangladesh grew significantly on monthly basis but fell in YTD on Y-o-Y basis.
Brassieres import from China valued US $ 62.77 million in July ’20 and tapped growth by 25.28 per cent over June ’20. Vietnam, the second top shipper of brassieres to USA, saw miniscule growth of 0.58 per cent in July ’20 from preceding month to ship US $ 24.54 million worth of brassieres.
Cumulatively in Jan.-Jul. ’20, Vietnam grew by 9.93 per cent in its brassieres exports to USA, while China dipped by 40 per cent on Y-o-Y basis.
Sri Lanka saw good surge of 21.93 per cent on M-o-M basis and shipped US $ 16.17 million worth of brassieres to USA in July ’20 as compared to US $ 13.26 million in June ’20.
Thailand and Bangladesh noted massive M-o-M growth by 107.41 per cent and 162.45 per cent, respectively. Thailand took a leap in brassieres exports and valued US $ 13.46 million in July ’20 as compared to US $ 6.49 million in June ’20.
Thailand also grew in its exports on Y-o-Y basis by 24 per cent during Jan.-Jul. ’20 to clock US $ 72.22 million in the US brassieres market.
As far as Bangladesh is concerned, the country totalled US $ 11.40 million in its brassieres exports to USA in July ’20 as compared to US $ 4.34 million in June ’20.
