
Swiss company Bluesign Technologies has appointed Jill Dumain as the new CEO succeeding Peter Waeber with effect from January next year.
Commenting on the appointment, Richard Shentu, Chairman, Bluesign Technologies and Executive Vice President, Consumer and Retail Services at SGS said, “Jill’s qualifications, extensive industry experience and her proven success in coaching and motivating teams to achieve company objectives make her the ideal person to lead the further development and expansion of bluesign.”
Jill has held various senior positions at Patagonia Inc., Ventura CA, USA, for over 27 years. During her tenure at Patagonia, her projects include the transition to organic cotton, The Common Threads Recycling Programme, The Footprint Chronicles, and the introduction of bluesign® tools and systems at Patagonia. She had also held leadership and board positions at the Organic Exchange, Textile Exchange and the Sustainability Working Group at the Outdoor Industry Association.
