A delegation of Moody’s Investor Service, which included Associate Managing Director Alka Anbarasu and analyst Camille Chautard, recently called on the BGMEA President Faruque Hassan in Dhaka, during which both parties discussed on diverse issues concerning Bangladesh apparel sector.
Media reports citing a press release issued in this direction, maintained the same while adding that during the meeting, the BGMEA Chair while highlighting the remarkable progress made by the RMG industry, reportedly stated that the Bangladesh apparel sector has become one of the safest and greenest industries globally even as he briefed Moody’s delegation about the future priorities of the sector, including increased emphasis on innovation, technology upgrades, product diversification and skill development so as to enhance its capabilities and competitiveness in the global market.
He also reportedly invited the Moody’s delegation to the ‘Made in Bangladesh Week’ scheduled to be held later this month in Dhaka.
